About This Podcast
What is You're Not Qualified?
This podcast highlights the amazing people who are making the world a better place, but are traditionally unqualified for the way they are contributing. Imposter syndrome is a very real phenomenon that stops people from believing in themselves and taking action to contribute to the world in amazing ways. We all need to bring our unique interests and talents to the table to make a positive difference in the world - you don't need to be the top expert in your field and you don't need to have that perfect degree. Just begin. And then keep going.
Pick your actions and don't let your qualifications, or lack thereof, stop you from making a difference in the ways you want to.
My name is Courtney and I grew up believing that because I didn't have a knack for math, or a science degree, I couldn't significantly contribute in a way that makes the world a better place. I couldn't join movements that make waves of change in the world of science and conservation. I felt that I didn't have any right to sit at the table of significant change because I was traditionally unqualified for it. It was only a few years ago that I realized... I don't need that science degree to make a difference. I just need to take action. And I am not the only one who is wanting to make a change while being traditionally unqualified - let's find the others. Trust me, you're qualified.
